Blackwall raises $100M at $2.2B valuation to scale its global web traffic management platform for the hosting market

Updated:

We are thrilled to announce that Blackwall has secured $100 million at a valuation of $2.2 billion. This C Round was led by AVP, with participation from our existing investors at Dawn Capital, MMC Ventures and Tera Ventures.

This new round of financing accelerates our objective to build a global traffic management ecosystem around its hosting-provider network. By connecting providers, infrastructure and technology, we aim to provide greater control over how internet traffic is managed, secured and monetized.

The Next Generation of the Web

The internet is no longer human. Agentic AI is rapidly taking over, driving a reality where bots now make up over half of all web traffic. Even more concerning, 66% of this bot activity is malicious, constantly probing for vulnerabilities and launching attacks. While the web is becoming increasingly automated, distributed, and complex, the infrastructure powering it remains highly fragmented because it must stay close to the businesses it serves.

Small and medium-sized businesses are prime targets for this automated abuse and, for most of these businesses, their service provider is the only route to keeping a site secure at scale. As unwanted bot activity drives up infrastructure costs, Blackwall steps in to stop this traffic before it ever reaches the servers. This immediately cuts operating costs for the provider and makes their customers’ websites noticeably faster.

Unlike hyperscale and content-delivery platforms that often compete with providers for their own customers, we sit directly inside the provider’s infrastructure. This strengthens the vital relationship between hosting, cloud and managed service providers and the websites they protect.

Furthermore, thanks to the modular nature of our customer-facing security features, providers can easily package, bundle, and tier these components as products of their own. This empowers them to earn new revenue without building or maintaining the technology themselves, transforming security from a cost center into a profit engine.

Fueling Global Expansion & Innovation

Our new Series C financing will accelerate our expansion into 12 strategic regions spanning North America, Europe, Asia-Pacific and the Middle East. Beyond our existing capabilities in bot mitigation, DDoS protection, web application firewall, load balancing and server-side encryption, we are investing in new technologies to address the growing demands of automated and agentic AI traffic, making the next chapter even more rewarding for our partners.
